Initially envisioned as a short-term safety net, social assistance programs in BC have become a tangled mess for those looking to return to work, or who hope to find pathways off of assistance.

As we wrap up the 2021 year at the PRC, we are looking back on some of the projects completed. Getting Around to Feed Ourselves Well was a research and engagement project funded by the City of Vancouver and the SFU Community Engaged Research Initiative (SFU CERi) which addresses access to transit and food security hubs for low-income communities in Vancouver.

Many non profit food hubs in Metro Vancouver were involved in looking at Food justice in metro Vancouver, linking food justice and transit equity & mobility issues.
