Seeking your endorsement for a living wage

The BC Poverty Reduction Coalition has just endorsed an open letter from the Living Wage for Families Campaign and we hope your organization will do the same.

Below is the request from Michael McCarthy Flynn, Living Wage Campaign Organizer.

Living Wage Open Letter:

Dear friends,

As you may know there will be Municipal and School Board Elections across BC this November.

The Living Wage for Families Campaign is hoping that we can demonstrate to candidates in these elections that there is widespread support for the idea that Municipalities and School Boards should play a leadership role in tackling child and family poverty by ensuring that all their direct and indirect staff are paid a Living Wage.

We are asking that your organization put your name to the ‘Open Letter to Candidates’ that we will be sending to out to election candidates later in the year.

To put your name to this letter is quite simple — just e-mail the campaign organizer at <> with confirmation of your organization’s support and also how many people your organization works with/represents.

We would appreciate it if you could circulate this request among your local networks.
For more information on the case for paying a living wage visit <>.

If you have any queries please feel free to contact me.

Thanks for you continued support of poverty reduction initiatives around BC.
